Join our expert Edinburgh based Guide for an unforgettable journey through the Scottish Highlands and most iconic landscapes.Maximum of 8 guests in a luxury Mercedes Sprinter.
Follow our carefully crafted journey through Scotland's most spectacular landscapes and hidden gems
Your adventure begins in the vibrant heart of Edinburgh. After arriving and settling into your city center hotel, take the opportunity to explore one of Europe's most historic and lively cities. Whether strolling along the Royal Mile or relaxing at a local café, the energy of Edinburgh is sure to enchant. If you'd prefer a smooth transition from the airport, we can arrange a private chauffeur to meet you upon arrival. Alternatively, you can take a Tram, Bus or Taxi to your hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. If you arrive early, you can deposit your luggage so you can explore the city at your leisure.
We pick you up at your hotel at 9am, and cross the River Forth into the Kingdom of Fife. We enjoy a comfort break in the beautiful city of Dunkeld in Dunkeld before we take a scenic walk through Scotland's towering forests to an amazing waterfall before heading to the pretty town of Pitlochry for lunch. The journey then takes us through the Cairngorms National Park, ending with a visit to Spean Bridge, where we pay tribute to the WWII Royal Marine Commandos, the world's first ever 'Special Services', as this was their training ground. Our first full day concludes with an overnight stay in Fort Augustus, nestled on the shores of the legendary Loch Ness.
We head west through the spectacular Highland scenery, starting with a stop at the breathtaking 5 Sisters viewpoint. Experience dramatic mountain landscapes and traditional Highland culture. We lunch in the charming village of Plockton and visit the amazing Eilean Donan Castle as one of the day's highlights. Our final deed of the day is a short but dramatic waterfall walk at Invermoriston before heading back to Fort Augustus for the last night on Loch Ness
The day starts with an hour-long cruise on the legendary Loch Ness. There is more water in Loch Ness than all the fresh water in England and Wales combined — at 850ft deep, surely enough room for a wee monster to hide! We then journey south through the stunning landscapes of Fort William and Glencoe, one of Scotland's most dramatic and historic glens. After passing through the vast wilderness of Rannoch Moor, we arrive in the picturesque town of Callander, perfectly placed on the edge of the Trossachs.
Today we explore the hidden treasures of the Trossachs. The Dukes Pass offers a scenic mountain drive with breathtaking views, followed by a stop at Loch Katrine Pier for a leisurely walk. Another highlight is visiting the famous bicycle tree at Brig o' Turk, and the true treat is feeding the adorable Hairy Highland Cows! Lunch is served at a charming 17th-century inn. The evening is yours to enjoy freely in Callander.
After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Edinburgh with a stop at Bracklinn Falls for a short scenic walk—think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! Next, we visit Doune Castle, famous for its appearances in Outlander, Game of Thrones, and Monty Python & the Holy Grail. We then head to the awe-inspiring Kelpies, towering sculptures that symbolize Scotland's industrial heritage. We then at the medieval town of Culross, known for its ties to Scotland's witch trials. We aim to arrive back in Edinburgh by 5 PM, with drop-off at your city center accommodation or an airport hotel.
As your unforgettable journey through Scotland comes to an end, we leave the day open for flexible departures. Whether you're heading to the airport or staying on to explore more of Edinburgh, you can easily make your own way using public transport or a taxi. Alternatively, we can arrange a private airport transfer for you. Farewell to Bonnie Scotland, until we meet again!
